(At) the fan fiction archive, the Archive of Our Own (AO3), writers are required either to warn for rape or nonconsensual or explicitly choose not to warn for those things, and through the wonder of the AO3’s curated folksonomy a reader can make fine distinctions between nonconsensual sex, dubious consent, rape fantasy, under-negotiated kink, rape culture and more.
