Why is the about page blank? I would like to know who/what this place is, since someone just tried to scare me with the link.

The about page is empty because it’s not quite finished – as the front page says, this place is under construction. We’ll be kicking off in a few weeks at most, tech gods willing.

This tumblr is going to be part of a new project by the Organization for Transformative Works that wants to experiment with a variety of ways to make info on fans (like from academic work, activism on copyright, and so on) more accessible and useful for everyone. It was briefly mentioned at the bottom of this post on the OTW blog. We’ll have more info up soon, is there anything in particular that you’d like to hear more about right now?
